For the price, this is just fine. But as other buyers have mentioned, there is a constant "buzz" or electronic "hum" when it is on. It emanates from where the AC adapter cord plugs into the player. It's quite loud. We listen to this player to fall asleep, and even though it is across the room, if the volume is too low the buzz is audible over the music. Were it close by, it would be unbearable. Batteries would probably solve it. Otherwise, it works well, sounds good, has a small footprint, and you aren't out too much money. Let's you repeat one or all tracks, which is a plus.
